Hello world!

I did a bit of travel over the Juneteenth holiday weekend. As a result, I found myself consulting maps marked with “you are here” indicators. I rode a few new-to-me bike trails in Ohio, namely the Simon Kenton and Little Miami Scenic Trails.

The header photo was taken in Springfield, Ohio. I thought it was clever to capture “Field Notes in a field”.

As an Android user, the photos I have available to osxphotos are all photos I took on my iPad. Even though this is a small percentage of my catalog of photos, I am excited to have a CLI I can conveniently use for exporting them.

🌱 Gardening

I focused on transplanting seedlings and continuing to tend to everything that’s already in its big container this week. The remaining nursery items in nursery pots have been sorted and their final dispositions have been determined. I anticipate transplanting a handful of additional seedlings. Everything else will be given away or recycled. Since I stopped planting seeds in May, the most recently sown seeds have had just under three weeks to germinate and develop into strong seedlings.

All of my biking this week was in the neighboring state of Ohio. I got to explore the two trails I mentioned in the intro that have been on my “to ride” list: Simon Kenton Trail and Little Miami Scenic Trail. I’m especially happy to have ridden them both.

🀄 Gaming

I had the opportunity to play a number of board games this week:

• A Little Wordy
  • 9/10: A super cute game that’s fun and repayable enough to outweigh the few quirks.
• OK Boomer!
  • 4/10: I would not recommend it. I would play it again if it was the only game around and we had to play a game.
• Sky Team
  • 9/10: Awesome! I get why it’s so highly regarded. I’ll need to play a bit more to finalize my rating but for now it’s a 9.
• Upwords
  • 7/10: a fun twist on Scrabble.
