Disk Space Treemap#
I found a nice GUI tool for examining disk space usage on macOS: Disk Inventory X. This tool uses treemaps and so it reminds very me of WinDirStat (GPL 2.0). The WinDirStat site offers a tool called GrandPerspective as another macOS alternative that has some very interesting features including the ability to adjust color mapping schemes by creation, modification or access time – among other things.
Fun facts: WinDirStat is still actively maintained was inspired byKDirStat in 2003.
